My name is Reverend Lisa Mundt-Cafiero. I founded the Ministry of Mercy for Christ in 2008 in order to teach, help and save. We are a non-denominational church where you receive the WORD as God wrote and not as man altered it! My daughter Christina Mattingly directs the organization and volunteers work together to assist the church by educating & serving people, making disciples, and performing humanitarian missions.

As a 100% disabled Gulf-war veteran, I was frustrated by many illnesses and disabilities that prevented me from making what I considered a “real” contribution to the world. I did not want to sit around just utilizing resources and being depressed because I could not make a positive contribution to our world.

During an extremely long and agonizing period of illness, I picked up the Bible and it has been an interesting adventure since then. After two years of rigorous study between ONLY God and me, my education continued more formally when I enrolled in a Religious Studies Program with Liberty University. In 2010, I graduated Summa Cum Laude and continued growing our church and focused on evolving missions.

Most importantly,  my studies and learning how to build a strong relationship with Christ have given me increased quality of life and assurance of eternal life. In order to share my knowledge and happiness, I wanted to reach out and help others the way God stepped in to save my life. I owe everything to Him and want to share His gift of LOVE with others, so I founded a church where all of us, including me, work for FREE.

We teach through weekly sermons and educate through organized Bible studies to enable every person to find their own relationship with Christ. I also wrote a book called 40 Day Fast from Wrong Thinking, which is offered for free via e-mail or the cost of printing and mailing through snail mail. Whether it is a one-hour, curriculum-oriented Bible study or a one-on-one discussion to answer your questions about God and our origins, my purpose is to lead you to The Truth in Christ using ONLY the truth that is found in the Bible. We help by teaching Biblical principles, enabling one on one interaction, and focusing on our absolute requirement of loving all people.

Additionally, we provide life skills training and teach at retreats so people can escape the secular world and get in touch with their Spirit who lies within. We use many modalities to participate in worldwide outreach missions to feed and clothe the under-served populations, in addition to providing for their spiritual needs. I also perform weddings, funerals, baptisms, speaking engagements, woman's retreats, and pre/post-marital counseling. Individual counseling and hospital visits are also available.

We help teach people how to be disciples by providing an “apologetic” type of Bible study. What I mean by this is that we teach people how to defend the Bible and speak The Truth to others. Through our church, ministry, and personal actions, we are an example of Christ in the world. We live by “the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, as ye have done it unto one of the least of my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”  (Matthew 25:40)
